Turtle Center Volunteer Opportunities 2010!
The Turtle Center – Texas seeks volunteers! We are available by appointment, to meet your schedule.
We are in Lakeway.
We will improve and refresh approximately 8,000 square feet of Turtle Center outdoor enclosures by
1. Moving some very heavy limestone enclosure stones to subdivide within the enclosures.
2. Cleaning habitats, including ponds
3. Feeding tortoises
4. Weed-eating, raking.
5. Work in wet areas such as mud wallows.
Please, ages 12 and older only. We are happy to provide community service hours for local education facilities like Lake Travis High School.
We regret that we are unable to offer community service hours to fulfill a court order.

Bring:
Gloves
Sturdy work shoes
Wear work clothes
Any tools you like – rakes, hoes, shovels, marked with your name so you get them back home at the end of the day.
