Currently our hotwire is a three-strand fence. It has been effective against predators (knock on wood), but we'd like to be able to keep the deer out. If we can keep the deer out, we can grow more food right there in the enclosures.

We'd like to convert four of our wallowing ponds from pot-saucers to installed rubber liners. 
One enclosure needs to be plumbed and an entirely new pond installed.

Oct 2010: We had a huge veterinary bill that nearly depleted our veterinary reserve. These expenses make the difference between life and death, and we can't always predict when a big chunk is going to go to our wonderful tortoise veterinarian, Cord Offerman. Fortunately he has yet again saved the life of a wonderful tortoise.
